Deryl Petrucci
Through form I seek to express aspects of the very human search for meaning. I feel particularly drawn to explore the subtle interplay of our perceptions, beliefs and connection to other.
I work intuitively, often through metaphor; ideas spontaneously arising. Some I will seize upon and work with, the final form of the piece evolving over many weeks; others for now at least, are consigned to the melting pot but may well emerge, changed in form at a later date.
I hope my work serves as a doorway to reflection and reverie through which the viewer can engage in a moment of quiet contemplation-a meaningful pause in a crowded day.
